Kemka Ajoku (b. 1998) is a fashion, portraiture and fine art photographer. Despite being born and raised in London, England, it was during his time in Nigeria where Ajoku birthed his artistic practice, using both countries as a reference point to discovering themes of heritage and dual nationalism, both of which reflect in the images he takes today.
His body of work ‘Finding Common Ground (2021)’, highlights the history of Black British culture from an intrinsic viewpoint, an angle which he centres his personal work around. This project has since been featured in the British Journal of Photography, The Guardian Newspaper, and on a number of BBC radio shows.
